Other Partnerships

Beyond its participation in major international Unitarian and interfaith organizations, the Hungarian Unitarian Church maintains a wide and growing global network of partnerships through which it contributes to international dialogue, education, and cooperation.

The church’s educational institutions play a central role in this mission. The János Zsigmond Unitarian High School in Cluj-Napoca (Kolozsvár) and the Berde Mózes Unitarian High School in Cristuru Secuiesc (Székelykeresztúr) participate in numerous international programs and partnerships through Erasmus+, student exchanges, choir tours, and other educational initiatives. These collaborations strengthen intercultural understanding and connect younger generations to international cooperation and shared European values.

The Protestant Theological Institute and related seminary programs have also developed academic partnerships with universities and theological institutions across Europe and North America, contributing to international theological dialogue, research, and ministerial education.

At the same time, the church’s charitable and social service organizations work together with various international partners in humanitarian, educational, and community-building initiatives, while continuously seeking new opportunities for cooperation.

Youth organizations connected to the church regularly participate in international conferences, camps, and gatherings within the global Unitarian, ecumenical, and interfaith world. Through these experiences, young Hungarian Unitarians become active participants in international dialogue and global community life.

The Hungarian Unitarian Church also maintains strong relationships with Protestant churches and religious communities across Europe while continuing to expand its interfaith engagement globally. In recent years, especially promising partnerships have developed with Japanese religious organizations and peace movements through networks such as Religions for Peace and the International Association for Religious Freedom (IARF), including cooperation with Rissho Kosei-kai, Tsubaki Grand Shrine, and Konko Church of Izuo.

Through these relationships and initiatives, the Hungarian Unitarian Church seeks to contribute actively to international cooperation, interfaith dialogue, and the strengthening of peaceful and compassionate global community life.
